Breaking Out – short film (psychodrama) produced by Intrepido films. Director Marienela Maldonado (Oscar winner, short film)Premiered in the International Critic’s Week Competition, Cannes 2004 – one of only 7 films. Then shown at the Edinburgh & London International Festivals & 20+ others inc Bilbao, San Paulo, Clermont Ferrand, Brussels, Korea. WINNER, BEST EUROPEAN SHORT at Premier Plans, Angers 2005. – Watch

These 7 shorts were all commissioned and produced by RADA, backed by Warner Bros. using a workshop technique, tailor-making roles fro specific actors, completing script in 2 days after 5 days of improv.

TRAINING & AWARDS
2008 – one of 6 writers from around the world selected for Rutger Hauer’s 2008 Film Factory – sponsored by Rotterdam Film Fest and the Binger Institute.
Feb 2006 – Accepted onto the Berlinale Talent Campus.
2004 – One of 16 writers accepted onto the 2004 North By Northwest Classics European feature film development programme. This involves an intensive training programme over 6 months: covering film and script analysis, tools of screenwriting, developing, reporting and editing other writers’ work to improve scripts. The training is led by award winning script consultants trained by USC and using the Frank Daniel methodology.
2003 – MA SCREENWRITING (London College of Printing , now LCC– Phil Parker) 2002- Finalist in Jerwood short film competition. Finalists were given a training programme, (led by award winning script doctors from USC and UCLA, following the Frank Daniel methodology) over a 6 month period.
